There was an article in the Sunday Telegraph recently with a title “Online bingo is a mecca for the middle classes” and I for one found it quite a strange title; online bingo isn’t restricted to defined classes but a game that all classes can participate in surely? Although having said that in my time as an online bingo player I’ve yet to meet someone in a bingo chat room from the upper class.

However how many times have you sat in an online bingo chat room and seen a conversation like this:-

Player A: Hi room, I’m working class
Player B: Well hello player A. I’m lower middle class
Player C: Oh dear, one is rather disappointed in the riff raff frequenting this bingo chat room, I myself am upper class.

There were quite a few things in the Telegraph article by Rowena Mason that got my back up a little bit; the class statement being the first. The second was the insinuation that online bingo players hide their gaming from family and friends. Having said that I have often seen statements by bingo players where they have told their partners that the AquaPay appearing on their bank statements are actually water bills! AquaPay is the payment processing department for the 888 Holdings online bingo sites as well as some others but in all honesty this is a tongue in cheek statement by bingo players. Anyone with half a brain will know that their partners might query why there are 10 separate payments all of £10 for their water bill!

I don’t doubt for one minute that some players do have an issue with the amount of time and money they spend on online bingo but on the whole this I imagine to be a fairly small percentage of online bingo players. Players with a potential gambling problem are in position where they can self exclude themselves from any online bingo site; online bingo has a duty of care to all players.

Ladbrokes has always been the number 1 place to go for all of your betting needs in my opinion. I have also found it to be mostly male dominated. Let’s face it you don’t see that many females inside Ladbrokes shouting ‘GO ON SON’ at the screens with there ticket in hand do you? So I figure that there Ladbrokes Bingo will be a male welcoming game.

As I predicted I found that there was no sense of a female presence upon opening the site. This isn’t to say that females aren’t welcome. But it does feel good to feel especially welcome as a male bingo player. Bingo is a small section on the Ladbrokes website however none of the experience has been affected. You can go straight into bingo after registering, which does only take a few minutes, then click the big play now ball and your own your way.

There is a deposit needed to start playing but no obligation. You can easily take a look around the Ladbrokes Bingo lobbies first before you deposit and play. You’re given a choice between the rooms you wish to enter. I was relieved to see male icons such as the couch and TV. When you enter the room you see male chat hosts and a few males talking along with other female players to. So this is refreshing to not feel out numbered. Playing the game is simple and you can personalise your play time. You can choose your dabbers, their colour even what pattern the dab makes.

They also have a £20 welcome bonus which is available to all new members. This bonus is on the basis of matching your deposit. So there is finally a male macho site for the male players and hopefully this site will make us males feel more comfortable to check out other sites as well. Thank you Ladbrokes Bingo!

Tombola Bingo is an online bingo site that is powered by software of the same name; it offers all bingo players a multitude of bingo games, not only the usual 75 ball bingo and 90 ball bingo but 80 ball bingo as well. Add to this three side games and you have a great bingo site for all online bingo players.

News of the World Bingo and Sun Bingo both use the same software provided by Tombola. Now both the NOTW Bingo and Sun Bingo are big names in the world of online bingo. So I assume that Tombola has seen how well NOTW Bingo and Sun Bingo were doing and thought they should try themselves.

Much like other sites that use Tombola software there are the same amount of games and you can use your accounts from Sun Bingo to log on, although you can’t claim the cash deposit bonus at both sites. Where there are three variations of bingo along with a few extras. There are Battleships, Hamster Races and Cinco. So it looks the same as Sun Bingo and NOTW. However Tombola has apparently decided to try and separate itself from the others, quite right it should to.

Tombola has done this with a free game. They had a free game up until the 1st of July this year that was known as I-Scratch. This was your basic scratch card game, match three symbols to win the money shown. So Tombola has always caught the customer’s eye with a free game to get you started and to hook you.

That game has now been replaced, with one that I feel is even more enticing. It’s new and called Hang On. This game is a fun, simple and well presented game. Opening the Tombola page there is a blob hanging from a balloon begging to be popped. Pop the nine balloons with a weapon of your choice, if you match three numbers you get the money.

So Tombola is a great website that provides a great atmosphere more chances of winning, and most of all it gives you enjoyment playing the games. All the games are wonderfully animated and funny to watch. Congrats on Tombola being the same but still different in a key way to draw in the bingo fanatics and the rest of us as well.
